If you want to group tracks together that are part of an album, tracks that you like or of a similar genre or your favourite tracks etc., they can be stored together in batches. To access the batches window, click on the Tools menu and choose 'Batches...' or press F11.
When no track is selected, the Batches window will appear like this:

The Batches window when no Track is selected
This list shows all the batches in the current database as well as the number of tracks contained within them.
When no track is selected, it is only possible to create a new (empty) batch or delete or rename the batches in the list.
To rename a batch, click on it once, and then click on it again shortly afterwards.
When a track is selected, the Batches dialog expands to show options pertaining to the selected track:

The Batches dialog with a Track selected
Pressing the 'Add to batch' button will add the track to the selected batch.
Batches can be reordered by using the Move up and down buttons.
This list shows all the batches that contain the selected track.
The 'Remove from this batch' button removes the selected track from the selected batch.
The 'Remove from all batches' button will remove the selected track from all batches.
To play a batch, select it from the '<Choose batch to play...>' ComboBox on the main screen:
![]()
This will display the contents of the batch in the Search window, ready for playing in order or randomly.
